What is Taffeta Silk? 

Taffeta fabric is made from silk, polyester, or nylon. It is mainly used for occasional wears. Taffeta fabric is highly twisted yarn that gives taffeta crispness. It is created by  thick yarns in one direction and much finer yarns in the other direction of the fabric.

Types of Fabrics: 

1. Shot silk taffeta.
2.  Warp-printed taffeta.
3. Paper taffeta.
4. Antique taffeta.
5. Faille taffeta.
6. Stretch-taffeta.


What Makes it Stand Out

Yarn-dyed taffeta, makes a rustling sound “scroop” (combination of scrape and woop) when it rubs together.
