What is Aertex Fabric?
- Aertex is a woven fabric that is very thin, lightweight, and breathable.
- It has a lot of tiny holes that make it easy for air to flow through.
- In the summer, it helps keep the body cool, and in the winter, it helps keep the body warm.
- When a weft thread passes between two doup ends, the doup ends to twist and grab the weft, securing it in place and making it difficult for it to move.
- By mixing the cross-weave with other types of weave structures, it is possible to create clothing that is both elegant and lovely.
History
- In 1888, a well-known politician and wealthy mill owner named Lewis Haslam started the Aertex company and hence the fabric was named after him.
- Experiments were carried out by him and his associates on a fabric that had warp and weft woven into it at right angles to one another.
- This method of airing out turned out to be effective, which led to the creation of Aertex Fabric.
- By the turn of the 20th century, an Aertex garment had found its way into the closet of every male in the United States and was enjoying growing levels of popularity.
