It didn't take long for The Vampire Diaries to establish itself as one of the most successful vampire-themed television programs of all time. It provided its viewers with everything they were looking for, including a great deal of action, love, comedy, and bloodshed.
Apart from all of the high-stakes drama on the show, what's truly wonderful about The Vampire Diaries is the stunningly elegant attire.
From the yearly Founder's day celebrations to all of the new balls and parties that Whittmore college throws on a regular basis, Elena and her friends get the opportunity to wear amazing dresses all the time, & they always look stunning.
Bet, you must have dreamed about these dresses. So, we have collected all the dresses that made us pause our screens or find inspiration on Pinterest.
Elena's Miss Mystic Falls Dress
Do you remember when Elena wore a royal blue color gown? This striking dress might not be the fanciest design but surely had an appeal to it, agree?
She looked stunning in the silk fabric dress, which highlighted her figure in all the right areas, while the deep blue hue provided a striking visual contrast. The costume designers made a great decision with this traditional, but simple outfit that enabled her inherent beauty to emerge.
Elena's 1970s Outfit
During season 2, Elena attended her school dance event which was based on the 60s theme. For this fun event, she tied her hair in a high ponytail which perfectly highlighted her glass peace-sign earrings.
Her jewelry perfectly matches her intricate purple mini dress paired with a flared skirt. With this, she wore a white circle belt and go-go boots which matched perfectly with the theme.
Caroline's Senior Prom Dress
In the fourth season of "Pictures of You," episode "Prom Night," Caroline had a rough start to the evening. Due to the fact that Elena has stolen Caroline's gown, she was unable to locate a date and is also without a dress. So Caroline goes to Klaus, the only guy with a perfect eye for women's formal attire and a closet full of stunning options.
Caroline's skin glowed in this white mermaid gown designed with net fabric, which is embellished with sparkling pearls and sequins. I think it’s safe to say that if Elena wouldn’t steal her dress she might not have looked so elegant.
Elena Gilbert’s Prom Dress
It is inconceivable to consider this Theia gown to be in a category lower than the very finest. From the time Elena took it from Caroline's closet, it became an iconic piece of clothing. Because of her dark features, Elena looked even more striking when she wore this hue, which worked out nicely for her.
The sweetheart neckline of this silk organza gown accentuated the décolletage. The dress has a lot of movement thanks to the airy fabric and the many shades of pink in the motif.
Elena’s Cinderalla Outfit
In her strapless sequin ball gown with a long skirt, Elena had her own spectacular moment at the Mikaelson ball. All eyes were on her as soon as she went through the entrance, which was opulent and glitzy and almost decadent.
Beautiful gold underlay and exquisite craftsmanship make Elena’s dress a standout.
Caroline’s Evening Gown
Caroline was given this outfit by Klaus, which is really a work of art. Despite the fact that Caroline is wearing tulle, she seems like she belongs in a historical piece.
The white and blue are nearly evocative of a night sky when mixed together. It enhances her complexion while avoiding the appearance of washing her out.
Bonnie’s Green Dress
Unfortunately for Bonnie, Elena and Caroline were almost always the ones that shined the brightest when it came to fashion, and Bonnie had to settle with playing the second chair. Even in the episode where Alaric got married, Caroline's clothing is exquisitely sophisticated, and the color is a perfect match for her complexion; yet, Bonnie's outfit steals the show.
The cut of the dress is really complimentary to her shape, and the deep, rich green color fabric, in addition to the stunning necklace she is sporting, lends an air of mystery to the ensemble. Because of the clothing, she stood out, which was a change from her regular behavior, in which she blended in with the crowd.
