Milan Fashion Week

This location hosted the first Fashion Week back in 1958, and it has since welcomed shows by illustrious designers like Prada, Ji Wenbo, and Armani. In 1973, the French government initiated Paris Fashion Week as a means of raising funds for the restoration of Versailles Palace. The first event was a smashing success, drawing participation from such legendary designers as Yves Saint Laurent.

Taking part in this event is a lifelong dream come true for many people in the fashion industry. Many renowned fashion houses, such as Louis Vuitton and Dior, send representatives to participate in the week's festivities.

New York Fashion Week

Celebrities from all walks of show business rub elbows with fashion designers during New York's Fashion Week. The event occurs twice yearly, in February and September.

During Fashion Week, you can see collections from some of the most well-known brands in the fashion business, like Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, and Tommy Hilfiger, to mention just a few. 

Since its first edition in 1943, it has sought to compete with France's dominant fashion sector by elevating American styles to the forefront.

London Fashion Week

Given its status as one of the "Big Four," London Fashion Week is well-known for taking its duties to the global fashion community very seriously. The British Fashion Council has been responsible for the event since its inception in 1984.

Although it's the youngest of the "Big Four," London Fashion Week nevertheless holds its own against the others. The fashion week attracts major fashion houses including Alexander White, Margaret Howell, and Simone Rocha.

Lakme Fashion Week

The Lakme India Fashion Week is now widely recognized as one of the industry's most legendary events. This phenomenon first appeared in the year 2000 and has since spread around the globe.

Famous designers and labels like Louis Vuitton and Dolce & Gabbana show up twice a year for it in Mumbai. Famous Indian fashion designers like Sabyasachi Mukherjee and Rohit Bal are included as well.

Amazon Fashion Week

Is it possible to omit Japan? Certainly not! Fashion Week in Japan, like the Japanese style itself, is colorful and unique. The great Rei Kawakubo, the designer for the illustrious Commes des Garcons, is mainly responsible for the fashion week's tremendous notoriety in the global fashion industry, despite being relatively new. Famous Japanese designers like Yoshikazu Yamagata draw crowds from all over the world to attend Tokyo Fashion Week.

Many don’t know but the fashion week in Japan showcases models wearing artisan knit fabrics to the jacquard fabric combined with their traditional and vibrant touch.
