Swiss Dot Fabric
As the name suggests, the swiss dot fabric has its origin in Switzerland. A unique weave technique done by hand revealed a textured dot pattern on the fabric. It later got popularised & was soon done by machines. Usually swiss dot material is lightweight & sheer. Swiss dot cotton fabric is made with cotton while other types include, silk, chiffon, polyester, etc.
White swiss dot fabric is the most common shade available, while other pastel shades like mauve, pink, lime, cream, grey, etc are quite popular too. Swiss dot fabric by yard can be used to make gorgeous summer dresses, skirts, tops, gowns, etc.
