What is Ripstop Fabric
- Ripstop is a nylon threaded material and popularly known as sport material.
- This is a lightweight woven fabric that is majorly used for sports activities such as parachute, campaign equipment and hot air balloon.
- Blended with nylon fabric, cotton, silk and polyester can also be applied to make it tear resistant.
- Nylon fabric by itself cannot prevent tears; crosshatched threading is required.
- Due to the interlocking pattern, ripstop fabric has a slightly raised pattern.
History of Ripstop Fabric
- It originated during the world war 2 when army was in need of durable and strong material,
- It was 1980 when this fabric came into the commercial industry to give comfort and durability to campers and hikers.
- As the popularity grew, this material started being used in making pants, suits, jackets and even shirts.
- With the time and innovations, this material gets stronger and lighter and used in almost every outfit.
What makes it stand out

Care Instruction
- Washing and cleaning ripstop fabricated item is easy and does not require much efforts,
- You can wash it machine with temperature relies between 30 to 40 degree,
- Drip dry is highly recommendable when you wash ripstop,
- Do not use bleach or stain remover,
- Do not iron ripstop fabric.
