Catch all the Madness & Fashion Inspirations at Bollywood Holi Parties - Fabriclore

No better way to welcome the warm summers but with a dash of colors, and Holi gives just that and so much more. It’s a festival that gives us an excuse to let our inner child take over, run carefree and catch that needed break. The streets are filled with happy people smearing and splashing colors on each other while aroma of delicacies fill the houses, Holi songs on full blast, it feels as though everything has come alive. Nothing will ever measure up to the jolly mood everyone is in around this festival.

Like everything else, Holi too has been westernized and popularized in the shape of Holi parties. Bollywood had hopped on this bandwagon years ago and left us to catch up with all the grandeur around the celebrity Holi parties. Stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Javed Akhtar-Shabana Azmi and the Raj Kapoor family are known for throwing Grand Holi parties every year; the young star Ranveer Singh joined the list last year by inviting American artist Pharrell Williams to his Holi bash!

One cannot talk about Bollywood festivities without mentioning fashion. These parties might be a laid-back affair but that doesn't stop the celebs from flaunting their personal style. As fashion fiends we have scouted the Holi trends and curated a few for you:

Arriving with your squad at the party, take some style tips from Sushant and Jacqueline. Go for a classic white kurta and patiala suit with kohlapuri chappals. She flaunts one with Chikan sleeves, but you can go for a solid as well. Guys can go for a crisp white shirt with regular denims.

Want to take the traditional route? Wrap a chic sheer saree like Neetu Chandra! You can also opt for a lesser filmy fabric like Crepe, Rayon or Cotton, drape it in your own way and pair it with a blouse of a bold neckline. Accessories with jhumkas and a bold lip.

White shirt seems to stick around a lot during the Holi party season, but guys can amp it up by putting on a pair of ripped jeans and topping off the look with a baseball cap which will also shield your hair from the harmful chemicals. Ladies can tie their locks in a bun and put on a sheer top with slits running along the side with denim shorts for a more playful take!

Heading to a crazy Holi fiesta, then you might need Ranbir's touch. Don a classic Chikan kurta-pajama and rock it with a zip hoodie and stark white sneakers. Thrown in some wacky sunglasses to complete the look.

Kartik Aaryan sporting a minimal Holi look with a solid tee and denims.

Heartthrob Hrithik Roshan and Zaid Khan enjoying like childhood times in t-shirt denims and workout shorts.

Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt spotted attending a Holi party in what seems like an embroidery salwar suit and a white fitted shirt. We love their reflectors and that bandana on Varun is a no-brainer statement take away for all the men!

Aditi Rao Hydari in a loose cotton top, denim shorts, flip flops and a top knot is all the inspiration we need.

Best Style Take Aways from Bollywood Holi Parties

We take that flowy sarees, shorts, layers like slit shrugs for women can amp up their Holi look when paired with some jazzy reflectors. While ripped denims, embroidered kurtas and solid tees are more of a gender-neutral look for all sort of pre and post Holi bashes.

A word of advice to pre oil your hair, and skin to avoid staining. Stick to fabrics like Cotton, Rayon, Crepe, Poplin, Linen & Muslin around this season to keep you cool yet stylish. Say goodbye to your favorite clothes for a white and carry an extra pair! Knock out a few designs for this Holi season with us at www.fabriclore.com Wishing you all a happy and safe Holi!
