A Day Into Burberry's Autumn/Winter 2022

A Day Into Burberry's Autumn/Winter 2022

Even though it has been two years since Burberry's last live runway show, the global luxury label's Autumn/Winter 2022 collection was definitely worth the wait.

After more than 130 years in business, Burberry has been synonymous with representing the best of British culture via its clothing and luxury streetwear. The brand has been elevated under Riccardo Tisci's leadership, and their latest collaboration with Supreme is proof of this.

Let’s not wait anymore and explore Burberry's new collection

Burberry Fashion Show 2022

Burberry Fashion Show 2022

For the Autumn/Winter 2022 fashion show, Tisci had his models don belted trench coats, oversized puffers, furs, and athletic-inspired ready-to-wear that were all scaled-down versions of Burberry's signature plaid. The laser-cut blazers were completed with narrow hoods, the wool grey sweaters had jeweled chain-link metal embellishments, and the sleeveless puffer vests were layered and belted at the waist.

Red rugby shirts, shearling caps, wide-legged slacks, and leather trainer shoes were among the other runway fashions.

Tisci stated of the collection and its place in the brand's history, it was vital for them to analyze what it means to belong, how their roots shape the identity, and how the power of community and togetherness is what truly contributes meaning to the world. Therefore, the show aimed for this collection to convey that level of fervor while also paying homage to the location where Burberry was founded and where its first family was formed.

In my mind, London is the embodiment of the phrase "where dreams are made of," a metropolis where the past and present coexist in a culture characterized by diversity and a shared desire to explore new frontiers and discover uncharted territory.

He elaborated that the collection captures the intangible essence of Britishness, which he defined as "a unique blend of respecting the beauty of the past while maintaining focused on the future with admiration, hope, and love."

The presentation of Burberry's Autumn/Winter 2022 collection was placed outside of London Fashion Week, and the supermodel revealed a daring new hair color there.

Gigi Hadid went from brownish-red hair color to a platinum blonde for her runway debut. We've seen the supermodel with blonde hair before, but this platinum blonde shade is unlike anything she's ever worn before.

Well, Gigi can make everything seem good since she is a fashion icon.

The supermodel debuted her outfit on the AW22 Burberry catwalk, the British fashion house's first physical display since the outbreak.

Westminster's Central Hall served as the setting for the lavish banquet-style event, which included maximum theatrics but no conventional runway structure. Models Gigi and Bella Hadid, as well as their fans, mingled with guests at banquet tables.

Both the women's and men's designs showed a genuine appreciation for British culture, with chief creative officer Riccardo Tisci deftly blending country and city, pomp and punk.
