With a market value in the billions of dollars, the Arab fashion sector is one of the world's fastest-growing. Saudi women, women from the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and other Gulf nations spend a lot of money on high-end fashion.

Despite the fact that the majority of them wear abayas, they are quite careful about staying current with fashion. Despite the fact that Dubai is the region's retail hub, other markets are fast expanding, with Saudi Arabia leading the way. Because of the unwavering efforts of creatives, entrepreneurs, and the business sector, the UAE has emerged as a hotspot of distinctive fashion design ranging from streetwear to couture throughout the years.

Qatar is also predicted to become a regional luxury fashion powerhouse, and its efforts to boost the regional fashion industry have been hailed. Qatar has invested heavily in its fashion and luxury portfolio.

The Arab fashion company Elie Saab is well-known all over the globe. The Lebanese creator of this product line inspired the brand name. Saab has been stitching ever since he was a kid. By the time he was eight, he was more into clothes than computers. He'd use his sisters as fashion models as he ripped patterns out of newspapers and dug through their mom's closet for fabric.

Besides Milan and Paris, Elie Saab also has a workshop in Lebanon. Many famous people and members of royal families have been seen with Elie Saab's exquisite designs. The company's bridal dresses and haute couture lines are legendary.

Zuhair Murad

Also at the very top of the list of the best Arab fashion houses is Zuhair Murad, another illustrious firm based in Lebanon. It was in Beirut, Lebanon, when Murad opened his first atelier in 1997. In 1999, he debuted on the Rome catwalk with a collection that quickly earned him a spot on the Italian fashion calendar. For its first few years of operation, the atelier catered only to private customers. However, in 2001, when one of Murad's designs was shown at Paris Couture Week, the designer gained widespread recognition.

His business continued to thrive in the years that followed. The term "ready-to-wear" is too narrow to describe his extensive collection, which also includes haute couture and accessories. Red carpet appearances in Zuhair Murad creations have always been met with a flurry of interest.

FAQ

What is Arabic fashion?

Most women cover their hair with a hijab or a jilbab, and some go so far as to wear an abaya and niqab; some men, especially the elderly, still don keffiyehs and long tunics. Black and red were formerly the go-to colors for traditional needlework, which was the reason these garments gained such renown for their craftsmanship.
