Fabriclore: Premium Wholesale Dyeable Fabric Supplier

Step into the world of Fabriclore where we deal in wholesales. Today, we shine a light on dyeable fabrics- the perfect canvases that give you the freedom to choose your color. Let’s explore with us and acquire knowledge about dyeable fabrics.

About Dyeable Fabrics :

Finished fabrics much like Perfect Canvas which are “Ready-to-dye” with different weaves like plain, satin, twill, dobby, etc. are taken to the process of color dyeing where fabrics dyed with a variety of dyes, are identified as Dyeable Fabrics.

Types of dyeable fabrics :

  • Natural fabric :- Fibers that we obtain from the environment to make fabric, which have no toxic impact on Earth and are biodegradable, these fabrics are referred to as Natural fabric. The most popular natural dyeable fabrics are organic cotton, linen, tencel, etc.
  •  Synthetic fabrics :- Synthetic fabrics are man made fabrics with chemical processes identified as synthetic fabrics. Polyester, rayon, acrylic, etc are widely used fabrics worldwide.
  •  Blended fabrics :- The amalgamation of two or more different fibers is blended fabrics. Blended fabrics improve comfort, durability, aesthetics, and functionality in various applications. E.g.- cotton-lycra, linen-cotton, etc.

Step-by-Step Fabric dyeing :

Preparation and selection of fabric-

Choose a fabric that absorbs dye well, and prepare the fabric for dyeing by washing it and removing dirt from it. It eliminates stains using chemical processes to prepare it for dyeing.

Preparation of Dyes-

Select the appropriate dye for fabric and gather material like liquid pigment, dye powder, water, fixation, etc. Dyes are prepared in large batches according to specific recipes and color formulations.

Dyeing process-

Fabric submerges in a large dye bath with prepared solutions. Then fabric dyeing in batches passes continuously through dyeing machines according to chosen techniques.

Fixation-

Fabric goes through a fixation process to ensure that dyes bond to fabric fibers using fixatives like soda ash, vinegar, etc.

Rinsing and Washing-

To remove excess dye and chemicals from the fabric, dyed fabric thoroughly rinsed in cold water using mild detergents to remove residues. This process ensures the fabric is clean and minimizes dye bleeding or color migration.

Finishing-

Dry fabrics according to instructions, fabric may undergo additional treatments such as softening, drying, etc. finishing process improves the fabric properties.

Quality control and Distribution-

Samples are often tested for colorfastness, shade accuracy, and durability before bulk production after testing they are prepared for distribution.

Benefits of dyeable fabrics:

  • Made to last- By focusing on high-quality materials and eco-friendly practices, dyeable fabrics can be durable and long-lasting fabrics. High quality ensures dyed creations can be enjoyed for a long time which ultimately supports sustainability. Cotton, linen, and silk are excellent dye receptors, resulting in vibrant colors.
  •  Customization- It allows you to express personal style and creativity through custom color choices. Gives you the freedom to color your canvas with your choice.
  •  Versatility- Dyeable fabrics are versatile and can be used in clothing, design, decorations, crafts, etc.

Considerations to keep in mind:

  • Dyeable fabric releases residual dye that didn’t fully bind to the fabric during the process of dyeing and excess dye transfers onto other fabrics may be washed together, so it is a major consideration to wash them separately.
  • Pay attention to the water temperature recommended for pre-washing, different fabric requires specific temperatures.
  •  Avoid excessive heat or sunlight exposure that could affect color intensity or cause fabric damage.
